Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral to be seen by Alice Rushing or her Associates. However, some extended health benefits providers require that you obtain a referral from your family doctor in order to be reimbursed for psychological services.
Are the services covered by OHIP?
No, psycho-educational assessments and other psychological services are not covered by OHIP. However, many extended health benefit plans do offer some yearly coverage for Psychologists.
What are the fees for a Psycho-Educational Assessment?
There is a flat rate for a standard psycho-educational assessment. That rate covers all aspects of the assessment: initial consultation with parents, individual testing sessions, feedback session (with parents or legal guardian and the child or individual being tested), and the written report. Do you offer evening/early morning appointments?
Early evening appointments are offered for the intake interview and the feedback sessions. The assessment testing sessions are held in the morning and afternoon when most children and adolescents are at their best. ADHD Assessments and Coaching may be offered in the early evenings.
